Hi all,
I am happy to announce that source code for the first release candidate
for Pacemaker version 3.0.2 is now available at:
https://github.com/ClusterLabs/pacemaker/releases/tag/Pacemaker-3.0.2-rc1
Highlights previously discussed on this list include support for PSK
authentication for remote CIB administration and various IPC
improvements that should make for a more responsive and more scalable
cluster. Additionally:
* We've finished adding support for formatted output to all command line
tools that are written in C. There's still a handful written in shell
that will need to be rewritten, but overall this project is finally
looking complete.
* There's a variety of deprecated and removed command line tool options,
as well as at least one tool that's been deprecated entirely (iso8601).
* There's a bunch of deprecated cluster properties (mostly around IPC
parameters and remote CIB administration), as well as a bunch of new
properties (mostly relating to fencing).
* There's been an absolute ton of refactoring which hopefully no one
will notice, but should help us find and fix bugs faster in the future.
As usual, there were many bug fixes and log message improvements as
well. For more details about changes in this release, please see the
change log:
https://github.com/ClusterLabs/pacemaker/blob/Pacemaker-3.0.2-rc1/ChangeLog.md
Everyone is encouraged to download, compile and test the new release.
We do many regression tests and simulations, but we can't cover all
possible use cases, so your feedback is important and appreciated.
Many thanks to all contributors of source code to this release,
including Alexandra Diupina, Ferenc Wagner, Yan Gao, Grace Chin, Ken
Gaillot, Klaus Wenninger, Reid Wahl, Yosuke SAWANOBORI, and Yuusuke Iida.
- Chris
