Hi all,

I have one confusion . pacemaker (configuration explained ) document says that " if the cluster does not have quorum then the cluster cannot start resources or fence other nodes." i understand that when no-quorum-policy is set to "stop" then cluster will not be able to start it's existing resources and when it is set to "freeze" cluster will not be able to add and start new resources. but i dont know when it will not be able to "fence other nodes" . i guess it should be when no-quorum-policy is set to suicide.

As far as i know There is no "suicide" no-quorum-policy. atleast document you mentioned does not talk about it . Please check it out again and keep me posted . Thanks

Suse 11 has Suicide as no-quorum-policy and you are right document does not have information about it. i dont know the reason why. Andrew can explain this.

Andrew: please answer to following question also . many many Thanks.

well if it is like this then in 2 nodes cluster, when ever split brain situation will happen then a node will never be able to reset other node as without quorum fencing can not happen. only suicide can happen that means a node will reset itself in absence of quorum. am i right??

Please let me know your view on this.
