I'm using both right now and they work fine (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS). I only asked the question initially because I have encountered a few LSB resources that I had to fix the init scripts to be LSB compliant and behave nicely with Pacemaker.  My interest was to verify that the upstart resources were compliant and I wouldn't have issues there.
