$ make
election.c: In function ‘do_election_count_vote’:
election.c:259:16: error: variable ‘last_election_win’ set but not used [-Werror=unused-but-set-variable]
cc1: all warnings being treated as errors

So -Wnounused-but-set-variable will disable that particular warning.
